It was a very long and busy day. I don't know if I even got a chance to really sit down, breathe and relax. It seemed that I was always constantly prompting, intervening, or doing something related to crisis intervention. No punches were swung at me today, but several SED's were being quite wretched and throwing the most ridiculous tantrums over nothing. I had great help for a good portion of the shift, but it's nothing like it used to be. A bloody shame if you ask me. I am very thankful that my days off are here because I will certainly use them and need them very much so. On a different note. I am uncertain how many of you pay attention or care about international news and how sovereign nations treat their people, but a few days ago a Chinese dissident escaped custody from the oppressive communist Chinese government and is presumed to be hiding in the U.S. embassy in Beijing. The U.S. government has said very little at this time about the matter as has the Chinese government. Chen Guangcheng is a blind man that has one daughter and a wife that stayed behind to aid in his escape from house arrest after four years of prison. Apparently it is quite the Hollywood story how it is described; he scaled a wall for his escape, drove 400 miles to Beijing and went from safe house to safe house until he arrived at the safest place in Beijing which is presumably the U.S. embassy. Why do I mention all of this? Because I believe in the ability for people to have freedom and choice without fear of reprisal. Chinese people are brutally and efficiently oppressed by their government daily, and the entire world looks the other way because of the Chinese military and economy. I am also displeased with how little our government is saying or doing concerning this individual. I am hoping that if he is at our embassy, that the leaders of our country help him out, so he can in turn eventually help the millions of Chinese people who have no hope or concept of freedom

Work went by very fast today, but I am exhausted. That might have something to do with the fact that I was playing tag with the SED's (about 9 or so) all shouting at me to tag them. I was running, sprinting, and dodging around the jungle gym apparatus for about forty minutes or so. I had a lot of fun, got a lot of energy out of the SED's, and got some much needed exercise with the only negative being I am exhausted right now. I was very fortunate to work with competent individuals tonight which of course made everything so much better and run smoother. Aside from a few outbursts nothing really bad happened, although I did hear a story about one SED all of a sudden licking one of my co-workers ears (this SED has an ear fetish from what I heard from the teller of the tale). Personally I would rather get punched in the face than have my ear licked. Well I hope that everyone's weekend was good. Lucky me, mine is about to start.

Game of Thrones Season 2 Trailer
Game of Thrones Season 1 Documentary
Friday, April 27, 2012
So work began rather bright and early today. Getting the SED's ready for school was....but a joy and a half. The morning didn't go according entirely to what I would have preferred, but resourcefulness is one of my many talents. I painted parts of the ceiling in the cottage finally after many, many weeks of trying to get around to doing it. I forgot how long it took or how much paint was needed since I haven't done it in such a long time, having done general construction work before. The rest of the day went by well, although I had shoes, a bucket of toy soldiers, paper, and other things hurled at me, oh and I had a door slammed against my foot. To top it all off, a rattlesnake was found at our facility but fortunately no one was bitten...at least I think that was fortunate. Can't say anything else about the day except that I did my usual routine when I got back to my apartment, and upon checking my email I found that my publisher finally emailed me about the second edition of my first book. Now I have to sort through all of that, but I will do that tomorrow. Now I rest.

The Tale of 3 Brothers story and that took roughly forever, or rather much longer than I thought that it would. In anticipation for the second part of the story I thought that a brush up on the old stories would be a good thing, but I still need to go through all 38 chapters and edit the content now that I have done the design. Yuck. I am formulating a lot of plans for the final part of the story and it will be nice to see the entire thing come to an after three years since its inception (give or take a few months). Of all the films that I could have watched, I decided to watch "Romulus, My Father" which stars Eric Bana, Marton Csokas, Franka Potente, and Kodi Smit-McPhee. It's a story about a father who tries to take care of his son in 1960's era Australia because his wife's essentially a nutter and goes off with other men compulsively and has long bouts of melancholia and self-indulgence. Everyone I mentioned above delivered a fantastic performance, and this was a very well done film which was apparently adapted from a book based off the real live people that the son wrote about. The son in reality eventually became a writer and philosopher; apparently all of the crap that happens in life can occasionally have a purpose (although I will never try to dismiss the pain it takes to get to that purpose). Eric Bana plays a good father, although there is this one truly frightening moment in the film where he's about to ax his son in a fit of rage. Marton Csokas played the kind, good, and loving uncle that took care of everybody; a good role for him. This man can play both villains and good guys very well. It's not a film that I would watch very often or much, but I'll give it a "Strong Ability" because of the excellent characters, powerful story, and good acting along with all of the other pertinent technical attributes of a good film. Speaking of crazy people, I get to go to work tomorrow and see all of the crazy SED's off to school and hope that none of them try to pummel each other with a tire iron like before. Have a fantastic weekend everyone, hopefully I will.

Modern War Stories: Grim Reality. This one is rather depressing at the title shows, but the point as with all of these stories is to explore and show how war affects all people, in all places, of all ethnic races. I don't know what soldiers go through upon returning from the battlefront, but it can't be easy depending on the various experiences each one has. My heart truly goes out to all men and women who have fought and killed in battle. In the evening I ordered a pizza and watched some more Game of Thrones and all I have to say is wow! I am completely hooked now despite my initial displeasure of the series. If you've read the books or watched the first season of the show then you can understand when I say that I really, really dislike the Lannisters aside from Tyrion. The plot took a most interesting turn (a huge turn) and now it seems as if pandora's box is about to open up. I've grown attached to characters like Lord Ned Stark, John Snow, Danerys Targaryen, and even the immoral Tyrion who embodies a character that every man wishes that he could be like (confident, wealthy, intelligent, witty, humorous, sexually appealing, and deep down very kind and generous). When an individual begins to become attached to the characters that is usually the sign that an author or writer has done a most excellent job so cheers for the adapters for the television series and for George Martin for coming up with it all. It's weird; it really seemed like it was a long day but it went by so quickly that I can't recount every moment, although I suppose a good portion of it went to writing. I could use two more hours in a day and I think I'd be set; I always seem to be running short on time. In regards to book 2 of my trilogy and even the second edition of book 1, what can I say but that the publisher is going very, very slow. Hopefully I will hear something tomorrow otherwise I will be emailing another person to lite a fire under their tender nether regions. Hope ya'll have a great night and day.

Glorious 39 Trailer
New trailer for Brave. Looks amusing enough, and mildly interesting, but we shall see.
Latest G.I. JOE: Retaliation trailer. Looks good, but with "The Rock" and Bruce Willis in it, I'm a little nervous about the overall feel of it. I'm disappointed that some of the better actors and actresses will not be returning for the sequel. It's a shame. Oh well, it is only a film after all.

I usually love Monday for a number of reasons. I love working with the people that I usually work with, it's my last day before my days off, and it's usually a very busy day for the SED's which make it all go by rather quickly. The people that I work with usually weren't there, which made me very, very sad. Fortunately though I was working with at least one competent and hard working individual for most of the shift, otherwise I would have been quite....vexed. So it was an okay Monday, but I would have preferred it to be more like the old Mondays. One SED who like to beat herself up to get attention (don't feel sorry for her; she's completely nuts, very rude, and a miserable wretch no matter how many nice things you do for her) got herself some crutches because she damaged her foot from kicking her door too hard when she was angry. Yes this is same girl that ate blueberry chapstick because she was hungry and it smelled good (she also eats like a mad woman; she weighs as much as I do and she's about 12 years old). I have my days off though, and I will try to enjoy them, but I have a bit of writing to get started on. We'll see how all of that goes.
Sunday, April 22, 2012
Work was exciting as it often can be, except today on my first day back of course we had quite a few of the SED's going off. One of them was acting like a mad fool, and I mean this quite literally. She is truly one of those kids that have nothing going on inside of the cranium. She's going to go grow up and either be in a mental institution most of her life, or be a welfare leech. Another SED popped a kid in the face because "he wanted to" which is the same SED that picked up a tire iron (he's 9 years old) and threatened to injure or hurt people in the vicinity. Police men had to be summoned to the area and brought him back to our facility in handcuffs. He's another crazy one, except that he's going to be in prison for most of his life if he makes it that long. He's going to hit the wrong person one day and he isn't going to recover so well. The rest of the shift was too bad, but I must admit that I miss my vacation. Oh well, one day left before my days off arrive.

The intro for Game of Thrones. At first I wasn't very keen on the intro or the music, but now after listening and watching it a number of times, I really, really enjoy it and it also seems to fit quite well for a period fantasy story.

The Avengers Trailer
Thursday, April 19, 2012
The Tale of 3 Brothers; it will need some fixing up but the core of the story that is there is excellent. I'm going to briefly get my soap box out and yack about Syria again for a little bit. The U.N. posted peace watchers or whatever they're called to keep an eye on Assad's forces from further butchering the Syrian people. However, when Assad's forces opened fire on protesters, the U.N. people turned tail and ran away. Good work, U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and U.N. Special Envoy Kofi Anan, you've proved that the U.N. can do nothing but watch, talk, admonish, and then run. I really hope some people with some sense step in and do something to diffuse that situation and get that maniac out of power, and or at least protect the men, women, and children that are relentlessly being slaughtered. I'm done now. Ya'll now try to sleep well, alright.

Despite being on vacation, lately I and my mother have been so busy doing stuff and going places where we haven't taken the time to simply relax and do nothing, so thus that is what we did today. Got up slowly this morning and did some baking for breakfast and then did some stuff followed by some more stuff, and then a nap and then nothing, and then I can't remember and so forth and so on. It was essentially a very boring, but relaxing day. Tomorrow is when we get back to the business of doing stuff. I have found it a little difficult with my mother being that we have different tastes in so many things, film and shows being the major on. She was upset that Captain America had foul language in it, so thus I have to be mindful to not select any form of media entertainment that might possess any kind of foul language, sexual content, anything overly violent, and nothing dark or depressing. Considering that I tend to prefer the dark and ignore the rest of the stuff that she dislikes so much when it is present in a film or show, I am very limited. Tonight I was striving to find something to watch that I wanted to watch that she wouldn't mind watching, I was mostly unsuccessful so we watched nothing really. I did however find a moment to begin writing something completely new and exciting, and despite being a fantasy story (which I always tend to find myself doing) I think it has the potential to be something very, very good. It isn't going to be an epic book, but rather an epic small series I think, or at least that is what I am hoping for. I could do so much more writing if I didn't have my job, but if I didn't have that then I wouldn't have much at this moment. I should have just taken a week off and just write; perhaps I'll do that next time. I guess I just like the idea of being home on vacation and not worrying about having to go into work. My dream job is being a full time writer making good money and working from my own home; that would be sweet. Now I just have to work on finding out how I am going to find my ideal home, and how I am going get to that point in my writing where I am financially supporting myself with it. Perhaps I will just get lucky, which is something I will definitely we able to live with. Well, it's been fun and real. Take care, enjoy your week as I hope you all have been so far. Oh, one solemn note to end with. Everyone needs to pray and hope for the people of Syria; those people keep dying and getting irreparably wounded day by day and no one is doing anything about aside from saying "stop, you naughty boy" (in a manner of speaking of course). Those people need true friendship, and a lot of care and prayer; hopefully someone will answer their unspoken pleas of help.

I know, I know; "that's what she said." Anyways, it was a rather slow day at work, which is something you'll rarely hear me say, but I was happy for at. This weekend exhausted me greatly, but now that my days off are here I am going to get some much needed rest. Hopefully by the time my mother arrives this Saturday I will be all rested up so that I don't have to play catch up while I am vacationing. Nothing really stuck out with the SED's today; everything went fairly well. So I'm going to call it a night and get some sleep. Hope you all do the same.
Sunday, April 8, 2012
Greetings to all you egg hunting, and jelly bean eating people! Although I was hideously evil and slept in late instead of going to church, I don't think that God will strike me down with lightning. While reading the newspaper this morning I put Transformers Prime on since it was on Netflix, and it was actually fairly good. Work was....survivable. One SED went off shortly after me getting there, and another one almost blew up both because of this one staff that simply escalates the SED's and is very loud and obnoxious. I had my worthless staff working with me, but fortunately I also had an intelligent, hardworking, and communicable staff which made the evening go much better than it could have without her. This one SED during her rage of a tantrum literally turned into "The Hulk" which isn't something I've encountered in a while. The thing is that she may be only 11 but she weighs just as much as me if not more (and I ain't no light feather). Eventually though she calmed down and had a good rest of the evening, and overall the SED's did fine except for being their aggravating selves. I hope that everyone had a great day, and holiday with their families if that applies to you. I thank God am almost done with my work weekend, and then I only have to work one more day before my vacation as my mother is coming to visit me! I am very excited.
Saturday, April 7, 2012
Now, my work day was lovely for the most part....I think. I had this one SED tantrum occasionally like she was about to die, and she had some difficulties but after some intervention she was fine. I made blueberry pancakes, sausages, and omlettes for the SED's this morning and all of them thoroughly enjoyed it all. The other highlight of the day was when one SED and I played "Just Dance." I don't know if you can imagine me dancing, but there I was dancing to songs like "Kung Fu Fight," "I'm a Barbie Girl," and some song having something to do with chickens or something like that. I'm certain that I appeared quite ridiculous. Wow what a workout that was, and I did surprisingly good for my first time playing the game. Christ said to love those that hate and despise you, and to pray for those that persecute you; for me, that can be these kids frequently. These kids have taught and continue to teach me so much about life, and what true care and love are. I hope that all of you find peace and genuine love, because one man died so that you may have all of that forever.
A song that I thought would be fitting for this upcoming day.
"In Christ Alone"
Friday, April 6, 2012
I can't really say that my day at work was overly eventful, but I am indeed thankful for that usually. However, one SED did have an....interesting adventure that I wasn't really apart of until later, but the story is worth it all. This one girl went on pass with her brother's foster mother for about a little over a week, at least that was the plan. This girl is almost 9 years old by the way. Anyways, during a disagreement she broke something with shards and chased around the people at the house she was at threatening to kill them, and especially the baby infant because she really hated it. She broke a woman's nose potentially, put holes into the walls, and essentially trashed the place. The police were called and restrained her in handcuffs and almost used a taser because she wouldn't stop freaking out. She was then taken to a psychiatric facility until she arrived back at the group home a little around 12pm. When I was told that, I was trying to be optimistic and hope that she ended up being crazy at the hospital so that they would keep her longer, but it didn't work that way unfortunately. Aside from the SED's occasionally being vexing, nothing else happened. I relaxed when I got back to my apartment and did a whole lot of nothing. Neighbors are still noisy, but at least the bugs seem to be going away. Heard back from my publishers PR department and the Print department as well; needless to say I have a lot of work to do over the weekend....or rather that I should do over the weekend. If everything goes relatively quickly, I should have that 2nd edition out in no time.
Thursday, April 5, 2012
Wrath of the Titans which fortunately didn't take too long, and I was going to write one for Hugo but I ran out of steam. People in my publisher's PR department contacted me and had me fill out a rather exhausting form with all kinds of questions for the second edition of The Curse of a Warrior. I wrote out a synopsis of the book, which took a while, and based off of that I guess they wrote a small blurb that is supposed to go on the back of the finished book. I haven't a clue how the individual who wrote the blurb for my book makes any money as what they wrote was crap. I virtually had to re-write the entire blurb, and it was of course much better. Sometimes you gotta wonder how less talented people have better paying jobs than people who work harder and are far more talented. One of the SED's is having a birthday party tomorrow and asked me to bake her an angel food cake with strawberries, which I did tonight and of course it came out looking quite....fluffy I guess. Work again this entire weekend, which sucks because I wanted to have Sunday off so I could go to church as my leisure, but if I can corral myself to get up early enough, I can still go. I watched Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire tonight during dinner. I love that film, and it has nothing whatsoever to do with Robert Pattinson being in it. Part of what makes it so endearing to me is that it was the last film I saw before I read all of the books, so I really hadn't a clue what was going on and was strung along each moment waiting to see what would happen next. Good memories when I saw that in the theatre back in college with Ryan and John.My favorite scene is of course the graveyard when Lord Voldemort returns; so awesome! Well that's it for tonight. Have a great Easter weekend, or a regular weekend depending on your point of view.
Bel Ami Film trailer. Yes it is just a coincidence that Robert Pattinson is in this film as well, which happens to look rather enticing.
Wednesday, April 4, 2012
The first part of the day went by either really fast and I can't remember anything, or really slowly so that there wasn't anything to remember. I was doing a lot of tinkering with my computers, which I think is what I did most of the afternoon and I played this old computer game Nox after testing it to see if it would work on my new laptop computer. That was a lot of fun for a while before I moved on to something else. I should have written film reviews for Hugo and Wrath of the Titans but I just didn't get around to it. I also did some....bug cleaning work. I think I might have found out how they get into my apartment via a big gaping hole behind my oven. Needless to say I blocked the hole (after spraying bug poison all around the vicinity) and so hopefully now the bugs will stop coming, especially the big ones. For the evening, I and three co-workers and friends had dinner at my friend Heather's house and she made salmon, vegetables, and rice. Oh my goodness it was divine. I love salmon so much, and I think it is a comfort food for me. One of my other friends, Adrienne, brought cheesecake which was scrumptious. My tummy at the end of the night was content and very full (I had a big piece of salmon). The company and conversation were wonderful, and it made for an exceedingly excellent time. So tomorrow I have to do that writing and get everything done before I resume my work week once more.

Wrath of the Titans Trailer
Monday, April 2, 2012
I got up around 9:30am and began baking snickerdoodle cookies for my writing group at my place of employment, and I also cleaned the kitchen while I did that. All of that took me until about 12pm when I finally sat down and rested for a few minutes before I began getting ready for work. I would have to say that work went very well, with very few problems and the SED's were in relatively good space most of the time and followed directions from us well. And I finally once again got to work with competent, intelligent, and wonderful staff which was such a relief. In regards to my title, when I came home and began putting everything away I walked into the kitchen and began looking or any bugs, cockroaches in particular since they like to "hang out" in the kitchen apparently in the dark. So I couldn't see anything and I was happy, and then I noticed this big blob like thing on the floor. I took a step closer at first convinced that it couldn't be a bug, but then I saw the antennae moving and got seriously grossed out. That sucker was almost two inches long! I put it into a plastic bag, so I can show my landlord tomorrow about it, and hopefully I will get the small problem eliminated. I'm not very fond of having cockroaches of that size in where I live. Almost sounds like some sort of horror film. Days off are here! And now to relax a little, but I have a very busy plate tomorrow and the rest of this week so that will be unlikely.
Sunday, April 1, 2012
I don't know about the rest of you, but I am tired of working with lazy, incompetent, and weird people. I walk into work pretty much straight into a crisis, and the individual who was handling it wasn't doing a very good job and was only making the situation worse moment by moment. After being asked a second time, by me, to not talk with her until after this SED calmed down, he finally stopped addressing her and low and behold she calmed down relatively quickly and didn't have any further difficulties for the rest of the shift. He mind you has been working there far longer than me, and yet he couldn't figure out how not to make the situation worse, and continued to escalate the SED until I stepped in and was able to calm her down. Some people don't have a clue, and then some people are just plain stupid; I seem to be running into those a lot lately, which has been very vexing. Later on (after the Incompetent staff left) I had another SED have problems which included tantrumming and what not, and the staff who I left in there to deal with her, couldn't even manage her. It was ridiculous. Her stupidity really seems incomprehensible to me, as does the other staff; one just became a father, and the other is getting her Master's degree and then wants to get her Ph.D. Both are very scary to think about. Oh and to top it all off, when I walked into my kitchen I found a rather large cockroach trying to scurry away from the faucet; fortunately I eliminated him before he got away. Definitely will be something to talk with my land lord about tomorrow. Well Happy April Fool's Day, although I didn't do one thing to try and fool someone today, or even play a joke because I was so busy. Life really sucks; can't wait to get to what lies beyond afterwards.
