A week of Progress.

Well this has been a great week for progress. Not only have I written a good portion of material, but today I edited approximately 33 pages of my 2nd book! I'm actually very excited about that, and it is more than it actually appears. I am hoping that this new trend will stay consistent and that between doing that and working my full time paying job won't burn me out by the time I am finished. Although I have been wondering if I have been working too much having a full time job, a blog, a website, working on a second book, writing in general, and of course possessing a small social life while I am trying to relax as well. Huh. Well it at least keeps me busy and out of trouble for the most part. It's hard for me to imagine why I wrote some of the stuff that I did years ago for my second book. The beginning is going to be much more difficult to edit than the end. I state that because I was a much better writer at the end than in the beginning. Thankfully my college education made me a better writer, along with other experiences with writing as well. Reading adult fiction that wasn't fantastical also helped; because those writers really knew how to weave words together really well. People like Tolkien, Jane Austen, Oscar Wilde, Poe, Shakespeare, and so forth and so on (and yes I know most of them are British). The greatest stories actually come out of non-English speaking countries I think personally; China is a great source for stories and inspiration. I watched a whole documentary series on the Wildlife and life in general in China's countryside. Amazing describes it perfectly. Editing the book believe it or not took up most of the day, and then I was relaxing and reading the Merlin Trilogy which is picking up in plot. I just wish so many books didn't take so long to get into them; it's like you wasted all of that time at the intro just to get to the good stuff. Anyways, we'll see how productive I am tomorrow.

And yes being productive is a very good thing. Between reading, writing, and editing this was an immensely successful day that probably won't be duplicated as often in the near future. Hopefully that isn't a self-fulfilling prophecy, but I do consider reality being a part of day to day life. If you noticed I also did some changing to the decor of my blog, which was badly needed. I think it looks less "blah," but I can always change it. That's what is so amazing about electronic editing; nothing physical to paint and tear down, just a matter of clicking and finding the right combination. I was quite fortunate to write Chapter 32 of my Tale of 3 Brothers. Upon reflecting on the chapter, it isn't that significant by itself, but as part of the larger picture very important. I'm getting so relieved that I am nearing the end of this series for now. I have had so many ideas for stories, short and otherwise but until I complete this I will be tied down. I also wrote a little news story on Star Wars in 3-D which is what the picture is all about. Since I am a huge fan of the series, this is of course very exciting for me and all of the other nerds out there. The series is also going to be released on Blu-Ray which is going to be nice for those who have it. I myself am a hold out. Personally, I am content with DVD and how it looks and am not really willing to spend the additional funds to get something that is slightly better. We do have a hi-def television set, but DVD's look just great on it. Who knows, perhaps I'll have to cross over eventually. But pricing remains a great determiner for me at the moment. Well, may the Force be with all of you.

"Back in the Sadde Again....

...Out where a friend is a friend..." and so forth and so on as the song would go. And yes on my first day off I did get some writing accomplished, and was also able to get a fair bit of reading done as well. I went and saw Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, which was thoroughly enjoyable and of course I wrote a review of it, so I won't bother yacking on about it here on this blog. Read some more of the Merlin Trilogy, but it is tedious reading as Mary Stewart wrote it in such a way which reminds me of how Tolkien wrote Lord of the Rings. Both are well written, but loaded with ridiculous details and langauge which makes me feel like I'm in the Victorian era. Hopefully that is not what it takes to write a good fantasy book otherwise I am sunk. I like to think that The Curse of a Warrior has good langauge to convey the character's thoughts and actions, even though it isn't as polished as say Tolkien. I did try though to make my characters more personable for people of today so that the readers could more easily identify with the individuals about whom they are investing hours of their time in. Reading a long book or series of books is like a relationship; you invest time and effort with the hope that all of your investing will not be in vain and will in return yield some desired result of fulfillment, happiness, or whatever the result may be. Rich detail is good, but it can bog the narrative down and the action can get lost in the midst of it as well. Even good dialogue moments between characters can become few and far between as the character revels in how orderly the soldiers march with their sturdy armor, glimmering swords, and resolute spirits as their commander shouts orders at them with his hands tighly cupped...and so forth and so on. As an author, my desire is to write stories that people not only like, but that can get people to think, and if possible to think deeply.

The Adventure Continues

Despite being spit at, kicked, clawed at, and almost bitten I have survived this previous shift before my set of days off. As you can see, today was very eventful and reminds me a lot of my old job of working at a psychiatric hospital where I was getting hit and scratched every day and being in physical restraints constantly. Right now you may be thinking that boring job you have might not be so bad; I personally miss working in a library. No writing done today, but back in high gear tomorrow and my social events calendar is much smaller this week fortunately. I am not use to spending so much time with people; I found it rather exhausting. Live long and prosper.

Is It Over Yet?

What a day. Not too bad by the standards that I am use to, but things could always be better. Worked a double, so it was a long day; not too many bad behaviors, there were times though when the situation could have escalated into that. One more day essentially though and then I have four days off, well at least of my forty hours plus full time paying job. With writing however I will be plenty busy hopefully. I also really need to finish the Merlin Trilogy before it is due at the Library, but it is doubtful if that will happen. Not enough time. I need to split myself in half. Sleep well cyberspace readers.

What a Day.

And no I did not have any time for writing at all, unless you consider me scribbling a bunch of driving directions down as something notable for writing. I did two weddings today and although it was long and tiring, it was well worth it. There is nothing like seeing good friends and good people married and wish them the best with it; as it is better that it is happening to them instead of me. So congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan & Emily Morse and Mr. and Mrs. David & Robbyann Oakes. God be with all of them during all of their adventures. One thing I learned is that driving in downtown San Diego is a nightmare, especially when you're uncertain about where you are going. But what's life without a little adventure. Now it's back to work full blast until Tuesday, and then I will be able to fully recover from this entire weekend and hopefully knuckle down and get a lot of my 2nd book edited.

What did I do Today?

Honestly I have no idea where the day went, except that I had lunch with a friend, paid bills, picked up my tux for the wedding tomorrow which was a nightmare. There was all kind of traffic and it was really hot, as it is suppose to be tomorrow. I then went out to dinner with some of the wedding party and family which was lovely, but that lasted for a lengthy time. I got back and did nothing really before I was exhausted and am soon to go to bed. Very boring, uneventful, and mildly stressful day. We'll see about tomorrow; I've never done two weddings on the same day, while being in one of those two, so hopefully I don't feel like a train wreck at the end of it all. If only there were more days or more time in a day to write. The quickly becoming story of my life.

So Much Time and So Little To Do...

...Wait a minute. Strike that, reverse that. You know how I've said that I have a small social life, well lately it has been getting larger and I am spending more time with people on outings than I have in quite a long time. Of course this happens when I have mountains of writing to do! I was able to write a review of The Wolfman Score which was composed by Danny Elfman, one of my favorite if not my favorite film composer. Early this morning I went on a hike up a mountain with some of my co-workers and it was a lot of work, but a lot of fun. I am surprised that I am not in as much pain as I thought I would be. The wedding that I am going to be in is this weekend and tomorrow I have to get the tux and fork over the rest of the money. I ain't looking forward to that, but the wedding hopefully will be fun. I'm actually liking that I've had five days off this week and will only be working Sunday and Monday of next week before I get four more days off. I am really liking this work schedule. I was planning on editing some more of my second book, but my social life surprisingly got in the way. Oh well I'll try for tomorrow but I have three social engagements planned and I want to see the new film Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. We'll see what happens.

Slowly But Surely.

That seems how it will go for now. Despite all of my desires, I can't seem to write a lot every single day. Perhaps I am setting expectations too high for myself? Maybe it's just enough that I write something at least each day, not neccessarily a voluminous amount of material. Well, I did write Chapter 31 of a Tale of 3 Brothers and it was actually relatively easy to write this chapter and it could have been longer too. It was funny I began writing it and then decided that what I should have begun writing should happen after something else that I should have written before hand. This I didn't write in this chapter, but will rather do it in the next. I am making the chapters more serial than actually what you'd see in typical fiction format because I write them weekly like a television show. A lot of heroes and of course some villain stuff. I think the chapter worked out very well, and I actually sat down and wrote some history for Mordris, who is an awesome character for me to write. The boys are fun too, and will become even better when they grow up some more, but Mordris is classic, mysterious and powerful sorcerer; those are always fun types to write, and I think his character is going to end up being more interesting and dynamic than people think. Need to read more of Mary Stewart's Merlin Trilogy, but time seems to be something that I don't really have a lot of. I watched The Undiscovered Country: Star Trek VI with my roommate. That is my favorite Trek with Kirk and his crew; great film recommend it to every one to watch. And yet I have time to watch a film but not read. Hmm. Fortunately today was one of those days that I could write, but tomorrow...well...I guess I do have to have some sort of social life.

It Doesn't Feel Like a Day Off.

I couldn't sleep very long for some odd reason and I'm hoping that won't be an issue tonight. I did a whole lot of nothing today; very lazy. I sprawled out on the living room floor and didn't move because I was too tired to get up. Would have liked to have done a lot more reading than just the Wall Street Journal, but oh well. Wrote the review of Running with Scissors and that was all of the writing for today, tomorrow I'm hoping for it to be a little more productive in that regard. I watched the first two episodes of the new Clone Wars Season 3, and it wasn't too bad. I liked the second episode (Arc Troopers) more than the first, but I'd still prefer for the "villains" to win more than they do. Things seem to appear one sided with the "good guys" always winning or never really suffering for their win. The look though is different and a whole lot more polished, so I'm expecting good things as the season progresses That's it for now, although my excuses for not writing seem to be getting thin. Oh well, the night is young.

Monday, September 20, 2010

I feel like crap hammered to fine particles of dust. I will sleep very well tonight and probably dream strangely. That's it.

2 In A Row.

I have worked two doubles in a row (that's about two seventeen hour shifts back to back). I am quite tired if you can imagine, and my body is so physically exhausted. Many SEDs required...quite a bit of my individual intervention which wore me out, but I was surprisingly in a great mood for the entire day. I got in a bad mood when an SED got toothpaste all over me because he was trying to...well...touch this other SED. Oh by the way this toothpaste was from a tooth brush that had been in his mouth. That fortunately happened around bedtime and so everyone was going asleep. I discovered how wonderful Jamba Juice is! I got the Strawberry Energizer, and boy that was delicious and money well spent; I could definitely feel the energy. I really wish that my apartment smelled like that place all of the time. No writing done whatsoever, although I was thinking about it. I'm actually sick of telling the same stories in conversation, I keep telling the same stories to different people; I think I need some more adventure in my life, or something. I think I may regret saying that. Oh well. Off for a snack, some Farscape and then sleep. One more day and then five days off; I'm in a wedding this weekend.

What's On Me?

Yes that was the story of the morning. As I was....assisting this one SED with finishing his morning oblutions he had some extreme difficulty following the directions I was giving. We teh staff present wanted him to take a shower because he was covered in urine from wetting the bed and laying in it all morning. He resisted and in doing so rubbed up against me and imparted some of the stench to me. I had one of my co-workers drench me with Febreze which helped, but it was a ghastly experience. Eventually he took a shower, which you would have thought might have been his end and the morning went much better. Writing done today? Am I kidding myself. I did a double at work, which might become more of a Saturday ritual, and therefore I essentially spent the entire day at work. Came back home to take a shower, check my email, snack, and watch an Episode of Farscape. I do believe though that I got a fair amount of writing done this past week. And exciting news f.y.i.; the new Clone Wars season has arrived! So awesome! I only wish that I had cable to see it, but I should be able to see the installments online as they are released. Well that's about it. The nice thing about my job is that I only have two more days of work left before my series of days off again. Such a wonderful thought.

Back to Work

It was nice having four days off of work, I most certainly needed them, but no rest for the wicked. Tomorrow my nose goes back to the grindstone full-time. Today was a nice balance of work and play. Did some grocery shopping, a little bit of light reading, and I finally got around to finally editing my second book! It me a long time to do a little bit as I was editing something I hadn't really read since about 2005. I know, it took me a long time to write that book. In my defense though I did get a Bachelors degree from college, during which I had other jobs, was getting my first book published, and then all of the other stuff that happened last year, particularly with the launching of my website and keeping it updated. Slowly but surely it will hopefully get edited, and as quickly as I can as well. I was also reflecting at some of the stuff that I had written and I was thinking, why did I write that; it makes absolutely no sense. That happens to me occasionally when I look back on some things that I have written. Initially it looks good when I wrote it, but then I look at it later, I must have been thinking about God knows what. Anyways, I hope it all isn't like that. I watched a very interesting film, Running with Scissors. Didn't get around to writing a review of it yet, but I enjoyed it and am very thankful that my childhood wasn't that crazy. Finishing up making some pumpkin bread, apparently there is no longer a pumpkin shortage. Well time to go and get rested up for the work day tomorrow. Haven't seen the kids in a while so it should

Not Too Bad.

Well for the past few hours I was writing and managed to write something that tabulated to around 3,000 words. It is very refreshing and nice to write something of my own original ingenuity. I completed Chapter 30 of A Tale of 3 Brothers, and I think it was one of my better chapters. I got to write an excellent villain, which I think could be quite memorable by the time that I am through writing him. I was also able to finish plotting the remaining storyline for this part of my story of the 3 Brothers, and the ending is quite delicious, not too mention very long in the making. I have been working on this story line since February of last year, and it will be a huge sigh of relief to see it completed. I think three thousand words isn't too shabby for one day, and if memory serves correctly it was Stephen King who said something to the extent that a writer desiring to be published needs to write at least three thousand words a day. If only I didn't have a full time job in addition to my writing that would be more of a reality, but alas the bills must get paid. We'll see if any writing gets done tomorrow, perhaps I'll finally sit down and begin editing my second book.

It Comes and Goes.

Well today I felt very certain that I was going to write a lot and was gearing up for it, but then I got distracted by dinner and cleaning up afterwards. By the time that I sat back down to write what I was outlining, the creative energy had vanished from inside of me. Now that is irritating. One of the plagues of being a writer is that when that creative flow comes there's no blocking it or putting it off. Use it while it's there, or risk losing it all for that period of time. It is important, for me at least, when I'm writing and it keeps coming that I never stop until it is finished. I guess this is a lesson learned, I hope. Anyways. Since the creative mood left me, I therefore played a computer game and read some more of the Merlin Trilogy which is getting better as I continue to read it. The story of Merlin's magical development is just fascinating to me. Mary Stewart's approach is a little boring with so many needless details, much like Tolkien with Lord of the Rings, but it has captivated my attention. Perhaps tomorrow I'll have more luck with writing. I did however get a film review done, which is the only kind of writing that I seem to do consistently, unfortunately. Yesterday I watched Frost/Nixon and I was delighted by how well done it was, and it was also nice to understand a little of the Watergate matter which I heard a lot about in the mid-nineties. So today was rather chill. It's actually nice to treat days off as simply that; not a lot of work.

Day-Off 1

So far so good. Today was a very, very lazy day. I did a whole lot of nothing nearly all day, I didn't even read the Wall Street Journal as I usually do (I actually just remembered that I hadn't). I slept in for a long time and took a long luxurious shower. Watched some Charmed a few parts from various Star Wars films, and yes I even played Command & Conquer: Tiberian Twilight for a bit (computer strategy game). Thank the maker for days off, otherwise I think everyone in this country and others would kill each other because of the immense amount of work related stress. Because of my superior laziness the only thing I wrote was a film review of District 9. I like the film a lot; highly recommend it to people. Started reading Mary Stewart's Merlin Trilogy. Kind of boring so far, but the details are rich; kind of like Lord of the Rings. I'm hoping that the farther I get into it, the better it will be. Tomorrow, I run errands and hopefully will get to some more writing accomplished, like editing my second book and carrying on with my fantasy serial. Dear God I wish there were more hours in a day!

Monday, September 13, 2010

....That is what my brain kind of feels like at this particular moment. Work pretty much lasted the entire day, and it wasn't all that bad, but I am glad beyond words that I have my days off coming. We wrapped up the science fiction genre in my writing group at work. I think I actually had about 11 kids there at one point; it was kind of crazy. Didn't have as many kids scream and yell at me today as the past few days which was nice. Regardless though I still would like a lot of sleep. This morning I slept in until about 10:15 am, which was heaven. No writing obviously done, but hopefully I can make this week productive; we'll see.

Sunday, September 12, 2010

That was the screaming and ranting chorus that rang through my ears for about three hours today from one of the SED's, and then another SED was intermittently explosive at just the tiniest things and did his usual screaming and shouting; apparently striking me in the face would have made him very happy according to what he stated. He didn't though. The shift was long too. 11am-11pm of constantly nagging and irritating children without relent very much, and at times all seven. I am so exhausted right now I am falling asleep just thinking about it. Obviously no writing was accomplished, but I was also unfortunately unable to go to church because I was called into work early. I'm going to have to change that. Hopefully tomorrow things will be....calmer.

Saturday, September 11, 2010

Im Seeing Doubles.....

....I almost feel like it too. What I mean by the title is that I worked a double today at work. It didn't go too bad, except this one SED got on my nerves so much by all of his constant yelling, shouting and incessant inability to be patient for any small amount of time. My head feels like a lump of lead, I'm out of laffy taffy and energy. Bummer. So with that, I'm going to relax and go to bed and hopefully go to church tomorrow if all goes as planned. No writing done today, but the extra money will come in handy with all of these lovely bills and expenses approaching. That is if I survive long enough to use it.

You're Making Me Angry!!!!!!!!!....

....That is what I heard for a good part of the day. This one SED kid at work was shouting and getting in fits for most of the day, and boy this kid can yell. He postured like he was going to punch me a couple of times, but he thought better of it. The rest of work wasn't too bad, but I was glad that it was over. I smoothed over my roommate's rent issue and I will get to live another month at this wonderful apartment community. I admit that Iwas lazy for the rest of the evening and no writing was remotely even attempted, although I did think about writing something. Ate some laffy taffy and watched Lars and The Real Girl; excellent film and rather humorous. Remember when I saw it the first time with my good friend Marcos. Hah! We had a blast watching that back in college. That was my night and day, and right now I am very sleepy, and so I am going to shut my eyes and hope that the crick in the back of my neck will go away as I dream of sugar plums dancing around graves.

The Same Old

Today was a mixture of accomplishments and vast irritations varied with minor bouts of boredom. I didn't get any writing done, yet the day wasn't that fun or even restful at all. My roommate botched rent and now I have to help him out with his part. I did get two new front tires for my car, and I got fitted for a tux for the wedding that I will be in this month (the tux was an incredible amount of money, for simply renting parts of fabric.) Trying to find the tux place was a challenge as I was figuring out the area and how to get around it, and for some odd reason there was a lot of traffic. To say the least I was vexed frequently throughout the day. I came home and spoke with me mum for a lengthy period of time; I think what we spend a good portion of our conversation on was how she and the rest of the pulpit committee are selecting the new pastor for her church. That was...interesting. I had pizza, helped my roommate figure out his finances so he wouldn't screw up again, made a pecan cake and then watched Transformers. That was essentially my whole day in a nutshell. Not quite the ending to my days off that I would have preferred, but life doesn't seem to want to cooperate with me on being predictable. Well here's to tomorrow, and the days after it.

And Yet More Writing.

It seems my life consists of three activities on a consistent basis: writing, reading, and interacting with irritating people. I enjoy the first two, but could live without the latter. Today I decided to finish reading my biography on Howard Robard Hughes Jr., and I have to admit the poor man who had everything and more experienced quite a vicious end to his existence. He was described in a skeletal state not too soon before his death and was assumed to have died from neglect due to his fiendish aides. He was apparently unconscious for 4 days before they decided to call a doctor and get him started on an Iv drip. All of his billions of money ended up being chief enemy number 1, along with his heartless womanizing, and Obsessive-Compulsive behaviors. He was a brilliant man no doubt whatsoever who was plagued with various problems, but in the end it seems to me that he only tried to please himself, not to try and get help for the difficulties he was experiencing. So finishing that book took up a good portion of my day, so I was unable to get as much writing done as I wanted to do. However, I did manage to finish A Tale of 3 Brothers: Chapter 29 which isn't too shabby for one day. And it is also the second week in a row that I have written that story. I think I just have a great deal of motivation and desire to finish that part of the fantasy serial. I didn't run the errands today that I was suppose to, but I figured I could do that tomorrow and be fine. After all I have one more day off before work again. Yuck.

First Day Over Already!!!?

I cannot believe this first day off has gone by so quickly. I don't even know how it went by so quickly. I had a lengthy conversation with my sister for almost an 1hr & 45min over the phone. I did some more reading of my Howard Hughes Jr. biography, made myself some dinner and watched the film Milk. That was an astounding film, which I reviewed on my website (Milk). Talk about good acting and film writing; Dustin Lance Black crafted a very good story from the history of the real man Harvey Milk, and Sean Penn represented the man beautifully yet strongly. But yeah, that was amount of writing that I did today, which I suppose is okay as I was recovering from my busy work weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze some major writing in tomorrow during two tasks that have to be done. I still wish there was at least one more day per week; I simply do not have the time to write everything that I want to or need to. What I need is a clone of myself, or a cybernetic copy of me, something to assist me. I wonder how far technology is along in that area....?

At Last.....

....My days off have come, but looking at them it seems as if they'll go by faster than lightspeed with all that I have to and want to do. Work was fine, a few problems here and there but nothing too bad. Made lasagna from scratch for the SEDs, which was a huge success, and I had cheesecake and cookies (also made from scratch) for my writing group. Today we chatted about science-fiction as a genre and what that is and how it looks; they seemed mildly interested. The whole day was essentially work from the time I got up to right about forty minutes ago when I signed out. I was able to squeeze in an episode of Farscape, right before I had to leave for work, and finished the first season. I must admit that I really like that show despite it's technical antiquity; really, really good characters and a vivid imagination. I should get more writing done tomorrow, but I do think that I need some, or rather a lot of rest.

As Time goes......b...y.....

Well, I was actually able to go to church today without being called into work which was nice. Work however was another story. The first initial part of the shift wasn't too bad and I made pizza bread for the kids and they helped me out. During dinner though they were instigating each other causing problems, and as we say in our paper work; program consequences were given. All six children were soon in a mild uproar running around, screaming, not following directions, cursing, slamming doors and I already had a headache. But they calmed down and were fine for a while. The crowining moment is when two kids were antagonizing each other before their bedtime, later on in the evening, and one of them squirted toothpaste on my face, on my rather thick mustache, on my shirt, and all over my watch. To say the least I was rather incensed and sent the SEDs immediately to their rooms. After all of that (which was the shortened version) I am very tired and do not possess the mental capability to write anything of length, creativity, or original thought. I am therfore longing for my days off where I can finally write again. Oh Happy Labor day to all.

Saturday, September 4, 2010

Is it Saturday Again?

The day was long but I was able to survive it. I worked a double today; from 7am-9:15pm (with a 1 hr break). Fortunately the latter part of the shift was with a lot of fun co-workers and some relatively easy going kids, at least at that period of time. So this is the only amount of writing that I was able to do. I was however able to talk with one of my supervisors about my book, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars. I love talking about my books, the writing process behind them, and where I got my inspiration from. Now time for a snack and some Farscape before I go to bed and get some much desired sleep.

So Far

I will never underestimate the power of a biogrpahy to put me to sleep again. Apparently Howard Hughes Jr's biography that I am reading is more potent than any sleeping pill as I am still trying to wake-up from my "little nap." Yep now writing was done today, I thought that I could do it later on at night after my reading, well that didn't work out very well did it. Whew, well...umm since I am writing off sleep as I write, I suppose another day another time. May the Force be with you All.

Back to the old drawing board

A matter of hours before I'm back to work again for another four grueling days. You know, I think I might expect too much from myself every day where writing is concerned. Apparently in my mind, every day I'm not working at my job I should be writing a voluminous amount of material, not taking into consideration that I do have a full time job and a full time hobby trying to be turned into a career/profession. I think every now and then I should accept that I am not wonder writer ingenius that should work twenty-four seven. Now and then I need to simply relax and accept that it isn't always necessary to be productive, otherwise I might drive myself mad with accumulating failures or what I could've done rather than focusing on what I've completed.

Well despite my little cathartic release up there, I did get a fair bit of writing done. I actually went back and continued a fantasy series that I have been working on since the inception of my website. I do them in chapters and today I completed and posted A Tale of 3 Brothers: Chapter 28, which took a good bit of the day to write, edit and post but I am hoping to finish the first part of the series soon and then take a break from it. I have been writing the series (The Tale of 3 Brothers Homepage) for well over a year and a half and I'd like to move onto short stories that aren't serial based. It was actually a breath of fresh air when I finished the story of a secret SS assassin during WWII (SS Assassin Homepage). There were 35 episodes chronicling not only the rise and fall of Hitler's Nazi Germany, but also the rise and fall of my character and the deterioration of his conscience. Hopefully my fantasy series won't take too much longer to write. Several of my stories tend to drag themselves out despite the fact that I want to end them.

...And yes there was a great deal of progress made today. Not a large volume of material was written, but I have accomplished a feat that I have been working on since the middle of June this year. I have finished writing the outline for my third and final book of the Warrior's Tale Trilogy. Now I can begin editing the second book, which hopefully won't take me forever so I can get it on the market as quickly as I can. Over ten years I have been thinking about the end, and now I have a rough idea of how the whole thing is going to completely play out. It is a remarkable moment for me. It really felt like the end of the whole trilogy as I was penning the words. It was an awesome feeling, and it is getting me excited about finishing up the second book so I can move onto the third, and then onto something else. There is a project that I've had in mind since I was creating my trilogy, and it is far from the world of fantasy...well for the most part. So Even though the progress was relatively small in regards to writing today, I think I accomplished quite a bit. And oh yes I was writing that outline for most of the day; it just wouldn't end. It had a life of its own and didn't care that my hands were getting tired, or that time was getting away from me. Here's to possibilities for tomorrow, and my last day off before going back to the grindstone. How.......exciting.
